Year 2

Hello everyone and welcome back to the start of our final term together - The Summer Term! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter and are as eager to get back to the classroom as us. Your teacher will be Mrs Ferris and your teaching assistants will be Ms McNally, Mrs Davies (Friday). 

This term in Science we will learn about plants. We will learn about their importance, their parts and how they grow. In English we will learn about story writing, using the classic tale, 'Jack and the Beanstalk' to inspire our writing.  After this we will learn about newspaper writing. In Maths we will be exploring our understanding of 'Fractions' and later in the half term, we will begin our learning of 'Time'. In History we will be learning all about 'The Great Fire of London', answering the question:W ho was to blame and who helped in the Great Fire of London? Over this half term, we will be having PE on Monday afternoons. Please can your child make sure they have a labelled PE kit in school for their lesson.We will then send kits home on Fridays. We will have our weekly Spelling Challenge on a Friday. Please also remember to bring your completed homework in on a Tuesday too.

Just a reminder that you should aim to arrive at school for 8:45am.
