Welcome back Year 5. We hope that you have had a wonderful break and are excited to start your new school year. Your teacher(s) this year will be Mrs Carter and your teaching assistants will be Ms Rowe and Mrs Williams-Hill. We are excited to work with you.
We have lots of exciting content that we will study together for example this term will be studying Anglo-Saxons and Vikings in History, Earth in space in Science, how to be digitally safe online in Computing, Cezanne’s still life in Art and learning to speak French. To help make our lessons even more interesting we will be working with Mr Spriggs to launch our History topic. These two days at forest school will involve learning how to whittle a knife, cooking bread on an open fire (supervised!) and designing and creating Anglo-Saxon shields. Over the course of the year we will also get to spend an additional 6 weekly sessions working with Mr Spriggs in our amazing Forest School Area!
Although we are all back to school, we must regularly wash our hands and catch any coughs or sneezes in our elbow! You should aim to arrive at school for 8.45am, where your class teacher will greet you.
